Sheriff’s office seeks burglary suspect

- The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking this suspect, who allegedly stole a purse from an employee at a Franklinton business last week.
On Thursday, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified of a theft from a Franklinton area business located on Highway 16.
Chief Deputy Mike Haley said that surveillance camera video revealed a man who entered the unlocked office area while the employee was briefly out of the office. The suspect then exited the office with the employee’s purse.
Witnesses who saw the suspect in the building described him as wearing glasses and having a “lazy eye.” Any person who can identify this person is asked to contact the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 839-3434.
“Please help us to identify this man so we can locate and arrest him,” Sheriff Randy Seal said. “If you are the man, and recognize yourself in the picture, I encourage you to go ahead and turn yourself in at the Sheriff’s Office, because we will be looking for you and we will find you.”
