Ada Augusta Jones, born March 12, 1923, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2016, at the age of 93.

She was a resident of Bogalusa and was a member of West Side Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She leaves behind two sons, James Bennie Jones Jr. and his wife Robin of Franklinton, and Edward Lee Jones and his wife Freda of Purvis, Miss.; two daughters, Brenda Jones Fox and her husband Raymond of Baton Rouge, and Glenda Jones, also of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary A. Jenkins; her husband, James Bennie Jones Sr.; four brothers, Elton Jenkins, Zelimar Jenkins, Helton Jenkins and Ambrose Jenkins; and two sisters, Elouise Helton and Nina Mae Graves.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 14, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 9 a.m., until the service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate the services and the interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
