John Leo Payne was born March 20, 1947 in New Orleans, LA. to Clarence and Annie Mae Payne. John was a resident of Folsom, LA. He died peacefully at his home on June 2, 2016.
John was drafted into the United States Marine Crop in 1968 sent to fight in the Vietnam War. After getting severely injured he was sent back to the United States.
In 1996 John dedicated his life to the doing of Jehovah’s will and symbolized his dedication to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. John cherished the privileges he was assigned during the congregation meetings. John and Donna enjoyed 19 and-a-half years as loving husband and wife serving Jehovah together until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Payne, two daughters, Kendra and Kimberly, from a previous marriage; three step children, Thomas, Carla, and La’Quintia; fifteen grandchildren combined; three brothers, Clarence Jr. (Bonnie), Elroy (Linda), Dennis (Janet).
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Sr.; Mother, Annie Mae Pack; Step-Father, Leroy Pack.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. for Family and Friends from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Andre Kyle Sr. – Officiating. Interment – Folsom Community Cemetery.
