Audrey Lee Thomas, born March 28, 1948, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on May 26, 2016, at the age of 68. She was a devoted housewife and mother and a resident of the Bush community.

She leaves behind her husband, George “Ron” Thomas of Bush; two sons, Donald Eugene Thomas and Richard Dennis Thomas, both of Bush; a brother, Larry Penton of Natchez, Miss.; three sisters, Pearl Mae Geraldson of Natchez, Margaret Watson of Franklinton and Mamie Penton of Bogalusa; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Vaserie Dykes Penton; a son, George R. Thomas II; a brother, Julias Penton; and a sister, Vallerie Vaughn.

Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will resume after 8 a.m. Sunday, May 29, until service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Patrick Magee will officiate the service with the interment following at the Thomas Cemetery located in Bush.
