Haley said that Drug Task Force detectives presented evidence and information gathered through a lengthy investigation to a 22nd Judicial District Court judge, who issued the search warrant. After arresting the two men, Drug Task Force detectives searched the premises and seized:

  • 39 grams of heroin,
  • 49 grams of crack cocaine,
  • 24 grams of powder cocaine,
  • 14 grams of methamphetamine,
  • eight grams of marijuana,
  • numerous narcotic pills,
  • $17,052 cash, consisting primarily of $100 bills,
  • one AR-15 rifle,
  • three shotguns,
  • one pistol,
  • 16 cell phones, and
  • four sets of scales used to weigh drugs.

Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said that Wednesday’s arrests will make the parish safer.

“We have done our job,” he said. “Now it is time for the rest of the justice system to do their job to obtain convictions and make certain these two men spend many years in prison. The streets and roadways of our parish are not safe as long as career criminals are allowed to roam free.

“I’m certain there are other drug dealers out there waiting to take the place of the two men we arrested. Let me assure them that their time is coming also, and we always have room in our jail for one more.”
