Jimmy Hilton

Jimmy Jack Hilton, 73, born on Jan. 22, 1943, in Walthall County, Miss., passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at his daughter’s residence in Bogalusa.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Reshea Hilton of Bogalusa, and Shannon Hilton of McComb, Miss.; two brothers, Richard Hilton of Jackson, and Jesse Hilton (Cheryl) of Sterlington; two grandchildren, Dustin Normand and Daisy Craft (Shane); three great-grandchildren, Rhyon Craft, Graison Craft and Bryson Craft; and special extended family members, Rick and Tonya Hilton and their children, Elizabeth and Stephen; Cliff and Hope Hilton and their children, Christian, Alyssa and Ava; Christopher and Amanda Hilton and their children, Mathew, McKayla and Sean.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 1, from noon until 2:30 p.m. The funeral services began at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Brumfield, the Rev. Rick Hilton and the Rev. Cliff Hilton officiating. Interment followed at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
