Mr. Richard Earl West passed away at the age of 63 on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Kentwood Manor Nursing Home in Kentwood, Louisiana.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 39 years, Brenda West of Mt. Hermon, La.; his mother, Maxine West Rone of Mt. Hermon; one son, Kevin Oneal West Sr. of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Teeshan Burton of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, sisters, Maresa Rone Hart, Patricia Anderson (Eugene) Geraldine McClodden (Otis), Ann Young (Roosevelt), Susie Gaines (Lee Dennis); three uncles, Elvin West, Rentis West, Sherman West (Barbara); two aunts, Audrey Jason (Rodney). Ozzie Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Thompson, his grandmother and grandfather, Norman and Irene West and a grandmother, Carrier Thompson; stepfather, Richard Rone and brother Richard Rone Jr.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.mn. followed by a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. a Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Mt. Hermon, La., with Rev. George Butler—Pastor Officiating. Internment—Mt. Olive Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home—Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
