Willie Taylor

Willie Daniel Taylor passed on April 11, 2016, at St. Tammany Hospital.

Mr. Taylor was born May 3, 1959, to the late Walter Lee Taylor and Mary Lee Fields Taylor Dunn in Bogalusa.

Willie was married to his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Woods Taylor. Besides his wife he is survived by 10 children whom he loved dearly, Daniel (Lacey) Slaughter, Cedric Foreman, Tamaria (Lewis) Hill, all of Mobile, Ala., Quanesha (Tellis) Williams, Rayshonda Dunn, Dantwuan (Kewanna) Woods, Kenny Dunn of Bogalusa, Indiya Woods of Varnado, Willie Dunn Jr. and Mytokiya Woods of Baton Rouge; and 12 grandchildren.

He is also survived by siblings, Shirley (T.J.) Jordan of McComb, Miss., and James (Sharon) Taylor of Selma.

Surviving aunts include Delester (Eddie) Richards, Rosetta Matthews, Linda Fields, and Ollie Jones of Varnado; uncle, Supt. Leslie (Joyce) Fields, also of Varnado; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins, in-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Taylor and Mary Lee Fields Taylor Dunn; two brothers, Walter Ray Taylor and Robert Taylor; his stepfather, Conel Dunn; and one son, Zantonio Woods.

Services will be held at Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Varnado on Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m.

Supt Leslie Fields will officiate. Burial will be at B.B. Moses Cemetery in Varnado.
