A collision Wednesday morning between an 18-wheeler and an ambulance resulted in minor injuries, according to a state police report.

Trooper Dustin Dwight said that at about 11:11 a.m., an ambulance responding to a call and travelling north on Highway 21 pulled off onto the right shoulder in order to make a U-turn to head south.

Dwight said the ambulance began to turn when it was hit by an 18-wheeler, travelling north on Highway 21, just north of Highway 10.

Dwight said there were no major injuries, although everyone involved was taken to the hospital. As of Wednesday, no citations had been issued and the accident remained under investigation.
