Jackie Ray Rogers, 61, born on Nov. 3, 1954, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Rogers of Bogalusa; two daughters, Angela Dykes of Bogalusa and Cathy Esquivel of Covington; one son, Carl “Bubba” Gregg of Bogalusa; one sister, Martha A. Smith of Abita Springs; one brother, Michael Rogers of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, April 8, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Gussie Tynes officiating.

Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery with military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
