Charles Wayne Sauls, 71, born on Jan. 15, 1945 in New Orleans, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Hutto of Tallulah; sisters, Cindy Tuttle of Slidell, and Mary Haik; grandchildren, Andrew Crain of Bogalusa, Zachary Bond of Tennessee and Kayla Steckler of Houma; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Roxanne Crain.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rusty Kuhn and the Rev. Chad Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
