Jane Simmons Brodie, 69, a resident of Franklinton, died at 3:41 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center.

She was a former food service and sales representative for Ardic Foods and other companies for many years. Jane was a gourmet cook that enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She also enjoyed painting and had a special place in her heart for her pet dogs and cats.

She is survived by: a brother and sister-in-law, Len Reid and Eleanor Simmons of Mt. Hermon; a sister-in-law, Barbara Simmons of Chicago, Ill.; two nephews and a spouse, Brandon and Katie Simmons of Chicago, and Connor Simmons of San Francisco, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Simmons and Dorothy Detrie Simmons; and a brother, Jim Simmons.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 29, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A graveside committal service will be held in Ellis Cemetery following the visitation.
