The public can dispose of any flood-related debris and trash at four large rollaway dumpster containers, which are located within the Bogalusa city limits.

The container locations are:

• At the intersection of Poplas and Redmond streets.

• City Limits Road, near North Columbia Street.

• At the intersection of Austin and Bayer streets, across from YouthBuild.

• At the intersection of Second Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive.

Gloria Kates, who represents District A on the Bogalusa City Council, said that Progressive Waste Solutions typically donates the rollaway containers for the district’s regular cleanup days. One such day is scheduled for this Saturday.

However, this time the containers have been placed early, to allow for citizens to have another opportunity to get rid of flood-related refuse for free.

“I’ve tried to place them where they can be strategically located for the district, or for anybody else who wants to use them,” Kates said.

Kates said she was thankful for the support of Progressive Waste, and especially manager Kevin Kingston, who has coordinated the effort with Kates.

“I’m very appreciative of their cooperation and their donation,” she said.
