Charlene Dumont, 67, of Bogalusa, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Massachusetts.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Joe Garner; and two sons, Stephen McCarthy of Brooksville, Fla., and Michael McCarthy of Canton, Ohio. She also leaves 17 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Betty Huntington; and her loving cat, Precious.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. McCarthy; her parents, Frank and Irene Dumont; one son, Roger McCarthy; and one grandchild, Ashton Shores.

A memorial service was held in the community room at Westminster Woods, 1600 Ave. F, on Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.
