The Washington Parish’s Council on Aging’s transportation services in Bogalusa are temporarily suspended due to flood damage.

Deborah Lee, an employee of the service, speaking on behalf of director Nancy McBeth, said that the Bogalusa building sustained flood damage last week. The building will remain closed until it can be cleaned out and repaired.

“All the transport services are available in the Franklinton office,” she said. “The only thing that’s not working right now is the Bogalusa office is closed due to the flooding. But we hope to have services there up and running by the end of this week or the first of next week.”
