Several upcoming events scheduled to be held in Cassidy Park have been postponed, due to the heavy flood damage at the park.

The Museums of Cassidy Park Cook-Off and BBQ has been postponed indefinitely.

The event was scheduled for Saturday, March 19. Organizers plan to reschedule, but no date has been set yet.

In addition, the Festival in the Park has been canceled. It was scheduled for April 29 through May 1.

Marilyn Bateman, director of the Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce, said it is not yet known if the event will be rescheduled.

Bateman said the festival’s pageants would still be held at a different location.

She noted that the chamber’s building on Willis Avenue sustained heavy damage in the flood, and was still without power Tuesday morning.
