Huey Passman

Huey Wilton Passman, 84, a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday morning March 9, 2016, at Riverside Medical Center.

He was a longtime active member of Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church that truly loved the Lord and his church. Wilton was a former road crew worker with the Washington Parish Police Jury, who enjoyed planting and tending his garden. He liked to joke and kid around with people, especially picking with his family and he cherished all the time spent with them.

He is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Annie Rose and Frank Bickham of Mt. Hermon, and Lora and Kendall Stogner of Franklinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Carol Passman of Mt. Hermon; nine grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Bickham, Monica Bickham, Anna Louise Bickham, Deanne and Brandon Minarick, Blake Stogner, Russell “Rusty” Passman Jr., Amanda and Harold Campbell, Rex “Buddy” Wascom III and Madison Wascom, and Colton Wascom; four great-grandchildren, April King, Wyatt Minarick, Madeline, Minarick and Decland Campbell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elder Willie J. and Gilda Passman, Richard and Nena Fay Passman, all of Franklinton; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lou Farlow Passman; his parents, Willie Alonzo Passman and Ophelia Rose Magee Passman; sisters, Elsie Thomas and Lelia Thomas; brother, Willard Passman; and two infant brothers.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Elder Burdette Thomas, Elder Duane Ball and Elder Donnie Broome officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Rushing, Kent Passman, Brian Passman, Tony Passman, Billy Passman and Patrick Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman “Buster” Givens, Rusty Passman, Blake Stogner, Colton Wascom and Buddy Wascom.
