A Franklinton man was arrested last week on additional charges related to the sexual exploitation of children.
Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Office announced that William Secrist, 23, was arrested Friday on 10 counts of felony carnal knowledge and 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Secrist was booked into the Washington Parish Jail without incident and with a $100,000 bond.
Secrist had been previously arrested on Feb. 18 by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit. Investigators had received information on Feb. 17 that Secrist was having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old female, in violation of state law.
After the Feb. 18 arrest, Secrist was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and faced one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, three counts of felony carnal knowledge, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
If anyone has information on other possible victims of Secrist, call the Attorney General’s Investigation Division at 225-326-6100. Callers do not have to give their names.
