John Francis Humphrey Sr., 67, a resident of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at the Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe.

John is survived by his wife, Lelia Humphrey of Slidell; his daughters, Shelly Ourso and husband Damian of Thibodaux, and Rebecca Lundy and husband Chris of Stuttgart, Germany; his sisters, Crystal Cranford and husband Gary of Conway, Ark., and Rita Lohbauer of Elgin, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ada Ree McCall and Joseph and Grace Humphrey; a son, John Francis Humphrey Jr.; a step-daughter, Janene Boni; and his sister, Dorothy Smith.

Services will be Wednesday, March 2, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with the visitation starting at 10 a.m. and remaining open until the funeral service, which begins at noon in the chapel with the Rev. Charles Ray Creel officiating. Interment will follow at Humphrey Cemetery in Crossroads, Miss.
