Atrine Lewis Fowler, a former resident of Bogalusa, entered into eternal rest on Feb. 24, 2016 in Baton Rouge.

She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church until she moved to Baton Rouge. She loved flowers, fishing, and her family.

Atrine leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter, Joyce (Terry) Buchanan of Baton Rouge; three sons, James Douglas Fowler of Baton Rouge, David Fowler of Baker, and Robert (Mitzie) Fowler of Gulfport, Miss.; one sister, Willie Lean Magee of Tylertown, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Viola Carey of Liberty, Miss.; a close family friend, Cindy Riddick; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Atrine was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Willie Mae Lewis; four children, Shelby Marshall, Roman Fowler, Paul Fowler and Clarence Fowler; three brothers, Ezell Lewis, Aaron Lewis and Daniel Lewis; three sisters, Irene Marks, Etta Dean Adams and Quillean Magee; one grandson, Antwon Fowler; and one great-grandson, Darrick Walls Jr.

The visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 27, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Douglas Hart will be officiating. Interment will be in Bogalusa Cemetery.
