James Hall, director of public works for the city of Bogalusa, said that on Thursday or Friday, weather permitting, the city will shut off water for residents who live near Rio Grande Street and Borgne Avenue.

Hall said the shutoff is necessary, because the city will be replacing a leaking fireplug at Wildwood Drive and Borgne Avenue. Work will begin at 8:30 a.m.

“All the water will be off for five to six hours,” he said.
