A man who briefly escaped police custody in late January is now facing an additional charge.
On Jan. 28, Kristopher Allen White, 28, a resident of Wilmuth Street in Bogalusa, briefly escaped from the custody of Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives. He was located only minutes later and transported to the Washington Parish Jail where he remains, charged with several felony counts and his bond set at $45,000.
WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley said that detectives continued their investigation and determined that White had also committed burglaries in St. Tammany Parish. He was arrested in the jail and charged with an additional count of possession of stolen property.
Sheriff Randy Seal wants to hear from anyone who might have purchased items from White.
“Please call our office at (985) 839-3434 and let us know if you have purchased any items from Kristopher Allen White,” he said. “We need to bring White’s criminal career to an end and will be grateful for any help we can get from the public. If you are one of White’s victims, please let us hear from you.”
