Theodore Moses Sr.

On June 12, 1930, in Angie, God blessed the late Jerry Moses and Francis Mark Moses with their third child and eldest son, Brother Theodore Moses Sr. He was affectionately known by many as “Thado.” He departed this life on Jan. 28, 2016, at the age of 85.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Theodore (Janice) Moses Jr. of Angie; five daughters, Annie (Dwight) Royster of Atlanta, Ga., Wanda (Clarence) Dickerson, Ivy (Oliver) Morris, Penny Moses and Mary Moses, all of Angie; one goddaughter, Brenda (Donald) Jefferson of Bogalusa; five brothers, Eddie Will (Cathy) Moses and James Alton (Dorothy) Moses, both of Angie, Elder Charles (Martha) Moses Sr. of Dunn, N.C., Leonard Jerry (Flora) Moses and Anderson (Merlie) Moses, both from Angie; three sisters, Thelma Comeaux of Belle Rose, Mildred Rivers of Wadesboro, N.C., and Emma White of Angie; 12 grandchildren, Terrance, Fonda, Kolynda, Kenny, Jacqueline, Delsie, Princess, Lillian, Theodore III, Julius, Okesha and Justin; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delsie Bickham Moses; two sons, Ray Moses and Jerry Moses; parents, Jerry and Francis Moses; and five sisters, Vender Lee, Audrey, Lena Mae, Ardean, and Gwendolyn.

Services will be held at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie, on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Public viewing and visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Terrence August.

The interment will be held at the Moses Family Cemetery. The repast will follow at the Wesley Ray United Methodist Church Life Center.
