Bobbie Jean Carter, 80, born on March 7, 1935, in Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Capdeboscq and Tammy (Terry) Stewart; five grandchildren, Chris (Denise) Fontenot, Niki Capdeboscq (Trevor) Bowman, Carter Stewart, Meranda Stewart (Justin) Croul and Hannah (Mike) Wells; six great-grandchildren, Luke Fontenot, Alex Fontenot, Keagan Saucier, McKenna Wells, Ayden Stewart and Emma Croul; a sister, Carolyn Fisher (Lee A.) Hunt; a sister-in-law, Mattie Lou Burton; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Beth Bankston, Susan Anderson and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeppy Carter Jr.; her parents, Oca Fisher and Edna Stafford Fisher; and a sister, Jewitte Fisher.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Palestine Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Brumfield, the Rev. Lee A. Hunt and the Rev. Chris Fontenot officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
