Arlan Miley

Arlan Leroy Miley, born April 27, 1959, passed away Jan. 17, 2016, in Heber Springs, Ark., at the age of 56.

He was a native of Bogalusa, attended Palestine Baptist Church and was also a mechanic in the community. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Rebel Riders Motorcycle Club.

He leaves behind a daughter, Erica Shantell Miley of Bogalusa; three brothers, Elton Miley, Alan Miley and Anthony Keaton, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Wendy Miley and Annie Miley, both of California; a step-father, Harry Keaton of Bogalusa; a step-son, Christopher Nathan of California; two grandchildren, Ethan and Alexis Monk; a special niece and nephew, Chernie Miley and David Allen Stewart; a fiancee, Linda Diane Strahan; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Miley, and his mother, Nettie Faye Miley Keaton.

Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 21, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home starting at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will resume Friday, Jan. 22, after 8 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Fred Brumfield and the interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
