Sarah Theresa Mixon, 76, born on July 9, 1939 in Bogalusa, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, and nursed for Dr. Waldrup and Dr. Singleton and the Bogalusa Community Medical Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Mixon Temples and Theresa Mixon Miller; one son, Charles Joseph “Joey” Mixon, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Catherine Perricone (David Martin) of Auburn, Ala., and Eileen Weber (Tony) of Gonzales; five grandchildren, Blaise Miller, Alexis Temples, Ashley Temples, Ty Temples and Addison Temples; and one great-grandchild, Raeana Williams.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. “Chuck” Mixon; and her parents, Joseph Perricone and Rosa Powe Perricone.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. with Father Patrick Collum officiating. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
