Mr. Benjamin Jackson was born Nov. 16, 1950 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Craft (Essie) Jackson and he departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 65 on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: one daughter, Tralda “T.C.” McKenzie of San Leandro, Calif.; one brother, Craft (Sheryl) Jackson of Bogalusa; one sister, Hattie Jackson of California; grandson, Benjamin Jackson of San Leandro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Craft (Essie) Jackson; a brother, Nathaniel Jackson; and two sisters, Irene Baggett and Valerie Hammond.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13, at noon at Brown Temple Church of God in Christ, located at 1101 S. Royal St. in Bogalusa. Elder Leon Chambers, pastor, will officiate.
