Cayle Mitchell Taylor

Cayle Mitchell Taylor, 16, a resident of Franklinton, died early Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, as the result of a hunting accident.

He was a freshman at Franklinton High School, where he was a member of the Demons baseball team. Cayle was also a member of Pine First Baptist Church, where he recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed the great outdoors and loved life to the fullest. Cayle will be forever missed by his beloved family and many friends.

Cayle is survived by: his mother and step-father, Tracy McLain Taylor and Gregory S. Seal; his father, Randall Taylor; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Cody and Lisa Tackett, Caymen Taylor, Conyr Taylor and Carsyn Taylor; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Caitlyn and Tyler Thomas, and Madelyn Bryant; three nieces, Anna Kate Thomas, Addisyn Thomas and Carter Tackett; grandparents, Hank and Carol McLain; and step-grandparents, Donald and Mildred Seal.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Owen and Martha Sharp, and Elvis and Eula McLain.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home Monday, Jan. 4, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. A funeral service was held at noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Easterling, the Rev. Shea Hunt and the Rev. Shadd Pittman officiating. Burial followed in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were players and coaches of the Franklinton High School Demons baseball team.
