Lillian Claire Schilling, born in Bogalusa on July 31, 1942, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2015 in Mandeville.

Claire was a graduate of Northwestern State University with a degree in education majoring in English and Spanish. She taught many years in Jefferson Parish and returned to Bogalusa to assist in the care of her mother, Mary Schilling and her aunt, Lillian Catha.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Schilling Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her brother, Paul Schilling preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 19, from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Greg Whaley officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
