A sportsmanship hearing for Bogalusa High School will be held at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) office in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m., the LHSAA announced Tuesday evening.

This hearing is a result of a fight during the Lumberjacks’ quarterfinal game at Amite on Friday, Nov. 27.

The sportsmanship hearing is open to the public. LHSAA Assistant Executive Director Keith Alexander will preside over the hearing along with three members of the LHSAA Executive Committee: Jeffery Sampson of Arcadia, Sharon Clark of Sophie B. Wright, as well as Mike Oakley of Iowa and Vice-President of the LHSAA Executive Committee.

Originally, Wednesday’s sportsmanship hearing was to be for both Bogalusa and Amite. However, Amite asked for and was granted an extension. Amite’s sportsmanship hearing stemming from the incident will be at the LHSAA office on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.

Once Amite was granted their extension, Bogalusa was offered the same. However, Bogalusa declined.
