New MCCA royalty to be named

- The 2015 XXXV MCCA king and queen were Richard Jenkins and Deni Talley Black. The unveiling of King and Queen XXXVI will be tonight.
Captain Don Spiers has announced that the Krewe of MCCA will begin its 36th anniversary season with the unveiling of King and Queen XXXVI and the Presentation of their Royal Court, at the annual event to be held this Saturday evening, Dec. 5, at the American Legion Home.
The 2016 MCCA theme is “And…the Winner Is…!” The season and parade and costumes will celebrate winners, from the Academy Awards to NASCAR, and the Olympics to Dancing with the Stars, to the Kentucky Derby.
