Freda Sue Penton, born Nov. 19, 1944, passed away Nov. 29, 2015, at Our Lady of Angels Hospital, at the age of 71. Freda was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, David W. Penton and his wife Jennifer of Bogalusa and Scott A. Penton and his wife Yvonne of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren, Amanda L Penton, David C. Penton, Cody W. Penton, Bailey L. Penton and Kayla Penton; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mattie Lee; and her husband, Thomas D. Penton Jr.

Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 3, beginning at 10 a.m., until the service time at noon. The Rev. Fred Brumfield will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
