Mr. Bufford Durr, Sr. passed away at the age of 56 on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in Franklinton.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Betty Durr of Frank-linton; three sons, Buford Durr Jr. and Jeremy Durr, both of Franklinton, and Jason Durr of Lakeland, Fla.; six sisters, Alice Williams of Bassfield, Miss., Lillie Ruth May of Jackson, Miss., Florence Williams and Dorothy Gallo, both of New Orleans, Gwen Bristo of Atlanta, Ga., and Bobbie Youngblood of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Durr Sr. and Pearlie Mae Smith Durr; and two brothers, Willie Durr Jr. and King Solomon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a family hour from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m., at Point Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, located at 367 Highway 541 in Mount Olive, Miss., with the Rev. Erskin Magee, pastor, and Elder Washington E. Drake officiating.
