Conston Burris

Mr. Conston Burris was born June 12, 1936, to the late Mr. Talmage and Mrs. Madgquin Crawford Burris of Franklinton, and he departed for glory on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.

He united with Bethel Church of Christ Holiness at a young age and remained a loyal servant until his departure.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife of 55 years, Mrs. Jenella Harvey Burris of Franklinton; six children, Renee (Eric Jacobs Jr.) Jacobs of Mandeville, LaBronis Woods of Lafayette, Colton (Cynthia) Burris of Lake Charles, Michelle Ford and Jennifer Burris, both of Dallas, Texas, and James (Shannon) Burris of Forney, Texas. He also leaves his 19 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren to carry on his loving legacy; six siblings, Mrs. Gloria B. Magee and Mr. Hamilton (Bobbie) Burris of Franklinton, Ora Lee Brock and Truman Burris of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Departing life before him we honor the memories of his sister, Mrs. Bobby Jean Boykins of Los Angeles; one son-in-law, Mr. Russell Woods of Lafayette; one brother-in-law, Mr. Willie D. Magee of Franklinton; and one grandson, Kristen Burris of Dallas.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 27, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA with Elder Jarvis Lee, pastor, officiating. Internment will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery.
