Peggy Ruth Triana

Peggy Ruth Payne Triana, 84, of Carriere, Miss., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at Timeless Grace in Carriere. She was a former resident of Bogalusa.

Peggy owned and operated Peggy’s Beauty Shop for many years in Bogalusa. She was known for her love and always helping others.

Peggy loved our country and proved that with her many years of volunteering with local poppy sales, the Paper Queen Ball and the local American Legion. For many years, Peggy served as the American Legion Auxiliary president.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie F. Triana; one daughter, Penny Triana Vaccaro (Dr. Paul); one son, Brad Triana (Monica); two brothers, Bobby Payne (Kat) and Hank Payne (Pat); five grandchildren, Andrew Vaccaro, Gabrielle Vaccaro, Jessica Miller Stewart, Wendy Roberts Rawls and Nikki Roberts Hughes; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirby Payne and Mamie Breland Payne; and two brothers, W.C. Payne and Glenn Payne.

A graveside service was Friday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Pomenah Cemetery with the Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
