Glenda Raye Magee was born to the late Vernell Magee and Marjorie Wolf Magee on Aug. 13, 1943.
The second of their seven children, Glenda was always independent and curious. She attended Central Memorial High School and received her cosmetology degree from Moler Beauty College.
Glenda worked for many years for South Central Bell until her mom’s failed health demanded her attention as her caregiver.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Chiquita Maria Magee and Majorie Suzette Jordan; her brothers, Vernell Magee, Earl Magee and John Blount; her sisters, Mae McLain and Janice Magee; one granddaughter, Adriana Magee; and four grandsons, Sadairon Owens, Boswell Jordan, Xavier Jordan and Payton Jordan.
The sweet Angel of Mercy moved in quietly on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, and bore the spirit of Glenda.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. Raymond Mims officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
