Brenda Kees Busby, 67, born Jan. 27, 1948 passed away Nov. 18, 2015 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Brenda was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Busby of Angie; a daughter, Lorrie Kees Wood and her husband Shalin of Pine; a son, Joseph “Joey” Kees of Tennessee; two brothers, Ben Thomas and Leon Thomas, both of Franklinton; two sisters, Sandy Sumrall of Bogalusa and Lana Penton of Franklinton; two grandchildren, Logan Phillips and Chloe Kees; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Parker Thomas; and a sister, Janet Miller.

Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 20, beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Yancey Magee, with the interment to follow at the Ponemah Cemetery.
