O. R. “Chuck” Spiers Jr., 54, born on Sept. 9, 1961 in Bogalusa, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at Ochsner Hospital Northshore in Slidell.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Wilson Spiers; grandmother, Emelda Wilson; sister, Debra S. (Tony) Bruno; uncles, Kenny (Darlene) Wilson, Joseph Hall, Gary (Vicki) Spiers; nephew, Justin Bruno; and cousins, Jay Hall, Cam Hall Lucas, Kenny Wilson, III, Alexis B. Wilson, Josh Kalena, Stephanie Clayton, Jennifer Kimball, Cristy Spiers, Sonny Spiers and Tori Spiers.

He is preceded in death by his father, O. R. Spiers Sr.; his grandparents, Overtis and Myrtle Amacker Spiers, and Kenneth Wilson; aunt, Lynda Wilson Hall; and uncle, Verlon Spiers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
