Funeral services for Arnold Harry, 63, of Angie, La., will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Wesley Ray UMC.  The Pastor Terrance August will officiate at the service.
Arnold Lee Harry was born to the late Mr. Otto Harry and Mrs. Julie Harry on September 10, 1952 in Bogalusa, La.
He was baptized at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church. Arnold was educated in the public schools of Washington Parish. He is a member of the West Ray High School Graduating Class of 1970 in Angie. He completed one year of barber school in New Orleans, La. before starting his career at Crown Zellanbach. Arnold began his career at the tender age of 21. On Sept. 14, 1973 he began working for Gaylord Paper Mill in Bogalusa. Although the company has undergone many transitions, he has remained a dependable employee for the past 42 years. He has worked under Gaylords, Temple Inland, and International Paper Mill. After many years of dedicated service and failing health, Arnold made his last day with the company on May 1, 2014.
From a previous marriage, Arnold has four beautiful children whom he adores:  Monique, Arnold Jr., Antonio, and Tessie Harry. Later, Arnold journeyed to Picayune, Miss. where he met his current wife, Vickie Diane Huderson. Arnold and Vickie have had a courtship that has lasted for 26 years. They were united in holy matrimony on June 6, 2003. Arnold enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking, and most of all he had a passion for fishing.
On Tuesday evening, Nov. 10, 2015 God called him home. Thus, 63 years of life rolled into eternity. He is preceded in death by, his father, Mr. Otto Harry, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. Thomas Harvey Jefferson, Sr., Mrs. Zena B. Jefferson, and Mrs. Effie Weary Jefferson; paternal grandparents, Mr. John Harry and Mrs. Eliza Harry; two brothers, Milton Dwayne Harry, Sr., and Thomas Harvey Harry, Sr.
Arnold leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Vickie Diane Huderson Harry; four children, Monique Harry, of Baton Rouge, La, Arnold Lee Harry, Jr. (Tammie) of Slidell, La., Antonio Harry, of Baton Rouge and Tessie Harry, of Bogalusa; three step-children, Yolanda Huderson, of Picayune, Mario Huderson (Ashley), of Atlanta, and Okema Huderson, of Gulfport, Miss.; his loving and caring mother, Mrs. Julie Jefferson Harry, of Angie, one sister, Dr. Zena M. Thompson, of Waldorf, Md.; three brothers, Willie A. Jefferson (Elmira), of New Orleans, Otto Harry, Jr. (Anne), of Tyler, Texas, and Anthony E. Harry, of Angie; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Delores Harry, Margie Harry, Tameka Jones, and Tracey Jones; three brothers-in-law, Stephon Huderson, Terry Huderson, and Kenneth Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.  Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Angie.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home, 601-798-4469.  bfh1011@yahoo.com
