Johnny Stanley Brister transitioned Oct. 30, 2015 at the age of 61.

Johnny is survived by his devoted wife Gilda Johnson Brister, children: Shanté Johnson (Ryan), Johnté Brister, Ishun Washington, Chelsie McCormick and Chyna McCormick, grandchildren: Chrishaniq, Taysia, Alirea, Destin, Maliya and Jaymar, and siblings: Charles Brister, Richard Brister (Carolyn), Trudy Andrews (Richard), Vicky Gillum (Arthur), Barbara Simmon (Rodney) and Michael Brister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Lucious Brister. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 10, for 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
