On Monday, Nov. 9, the Northshore Charter School faculty and students will host their first annual veterans’ breakfast, to honor area veterans who have served to protect our country and guarantee our freedom.

The agenda includes breakfast at 7:30 a.m., and a program to follow, scheduled to end by 9:30 or 10 a.m. The school will be opened by 7 a.m. The school is located in the old Armory building on Walker Street near the airport.

Parking is available in the parking lot that adjoins the school on the east side on Walker Street, or in the lot slightly northeast of the school on Washington Street. For the entrance off Washington, you will take the second left after passing Walker Street, near the south “Distribution” sign, and then turn left onto the first gravel road, and drive beyond the gravel road to reach the paved parking area just south of the gravel road.

The school is also asking for veteran photographs, to include in a slide presentation. Please email pictures of all area military personnel (deceased or living) in their uniforms, to candig@bellsouth.net, or take them to the school at 111 Walker St. in Bogalusa.
