Unofficial parish election results announced

Voters in Washington Parish elected incumbent sheriff Randy Seal to a new term in Saturday’s election, but voted for challengers in several parish council races. Seal received 7,416 votes (58 percent) to challenger Scott Blair’s 5,263 votes (42 percent).
In the race for State Representative, District 75, Bogalusa City Council member Malinda Brumfield White defeated Washington Parish Council member Chuck Nassauer. The State Senate, District 12 race appears headed to a runoff between Beth Mizell and Mickey Murphy, who are both Washington Parish natives.
