Shirley Ann Pittman, born Oct. 15, 1940, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Oct. 21, 2015, at the age of 75. She was a resident of the Plainview Community and a member at Plainview Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Miley and her husband Roy and Cindy Smith and her husband Bruce, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Patty Farr of Matthews, N.C., and Connie VanCalsem and her husband Bobby of Pass Christian, Miss.; three grandchildren, Megan Everett, Cody Everett and Charlie Smith; and numerous family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther E. “Luke” Crawford and Irene Thigpen Crawford; and her husband, Houston Larry Pittman.

The family wants to give special thanks to Americare Hospice and Americare Hospice nurses, Erika Martin and Stephen Bryant and social worker, Brian Phillips.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at noon. The Rev. Scott Breland will conduct the services and the interment will follow in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
