Mr. Herbert Plunkett, 86, of Bogalusa, departed this life Oct. 12, 2015, at Resthaven Living Center.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Plunkett of Matteson, Ill.; three sons, Darry Plunkett and Ricky (Joyce) Plunkett of Alton, Ill., and Danny Plunkett of Springfield, Ill.; siblings, Sylvester (Nettie) Plunkett of Mesa, Ariz., Everett (Vera) Plunkett of Chicago, Ill., Allean (J.C.) McDonald of Wiggins, Miss., Laura Plunkett of Bogalusa, Glines E. (Robert) House of Chicago, and Curtis Johnson of Jackson, Miss., and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Rene Green and William McKinley Plunkett; children, Herbert Plunkett Jr., Joseph Plunkett, Patricia Plunkett and Delphine Plunkett Smith; siblings, Alice C. Lewis Lee, Robert Plunkett, Shirlty Plunkett, William McKinley Plunkett and Bennie Lewis Plunkett.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, with the Rev. James Magee officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
