Geraldine Welborn “Gerry” Lynch, 92, passed away peacefully at Harvest Manor Nursing Home on Oct. 6, 2015.

She was a dedicated employee of the Bogalusa Paper Mill for 65 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa and a well-loved socialite in the community. For the last 10 years she has resided in Denham Springs near her daughter.

Gerry is survived by her grandson Daryn Spence and his wife Darcy; granddaughter Denice Brooks and her husband Casey; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Ashlee Spence and Emma, Anna, and Brody Brooks; and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Lynch; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Wayne Spence; brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Dot Welborn; and parents, John and Eula Estelle Welborn.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 9, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at noon until the service time at 3 p.m. Rev. Larry Mizell will officiate the services with the interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
