Tommie Lee Boone, 85, a resident of Varnado, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

She was a member of Varnado Methodist Church. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, square dancing and playing the organ at church. She worked at Zellco Federal Credit Union for 20 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Glenda (David) Villarrubia; four grandchildren, David (Gabrielle) Villarrubia, Steven and John Villarrubia, and Krystal (Josh) Oalmann; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jewel Boone; her mother, Eleanor Fornea Thomas; and one son, Albert Jewel Boone Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, at Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum in Ponemah Cemetery at 4 p.m., with Rev. Kathy Pfleider officiating.
