Mary Nell Fabre

Mary Nell Bell Fabre, 61, of Franklinton, passed away Sept. 17, 2015.

Fabre was born Feb. 20, 1954, to the late Vivian Bell and Harry R. Anders Sr.

At an early age she accepted Christ, and joined Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Franklinton, where she participated in youth activities, and remained a member until her death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lionel Fabre Sr. of Abita Springs; one son, Lionel (Klyvia) Fabre of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Donuiel (Pete) Fabre of Franklinton; 12 grandchildren, Russel, Reshawn, Shaikeria, Ketera, Deshay, Jalendra, Jendal, Tianis, Katina, Kamryn, Liana, and Lionel III; and one great grandson, Russell III.

She is also survived by four sisters, Dedra and Charloette of Baton Rouge, and Loretta (Thad) Gatlin and Mona Fowler of Franklinton; four brothers, Melvin III and Steven of Baton Rouge, Harry (Ann) Jr., and Richard Anders of Franklinton; a faithful friend, like a sister, Gloria Ishman; two special godchildren, Jammie Ishman and Chad Allen; three aunts, Delarine Crain, Essie (Oscar) Mills of Baton Rouge, and Valdora (Joseph) Snedacor of Zachary; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and aunt that raised her, Ms. Velma Miller.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 24, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Sweet Rest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mallory Calahan, pastor. Interment will be held in the Sweet Rest Cemetery.
