Willard Burrell

Willard Artis Burrell, 78, known to family and friends as “Pete,” entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

Willard is survived by two sisters, Alice Burrell Thompson of Kenner, and Lillian Johnson of New Orleans; nieces and nephews, Shondra Gutter (Louis) Causey of Bogalusa, Neta Burrell of Baton Rouge, Lisa Burrell of Spring, Texas, Antronette Burrell of California, and Cleotha Burrell Jr. of Bogalusa; a special sister-in-law, Elizabeth Burrell of Spring; a niece-in-law, Deloris Bolton of Compton, Calif.; special friends, Curley Murphy, Earline Crawford, Lulla Bolton and Ella Mae Bolton, all of Bogalusa; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C.B. Burrell and Lelia Tyler Burrell; three brothers, Jose Fisher, Cleotha Burrell Sr. and Bennie Burrell; and three sisters, Vivian Burrell, Lillie Gutter and Orastine Burrell.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., followed by a family hour from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m., at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Stanley Nathaniel officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
