Stanley P. Moore, 63, of Bogalusa, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.

Stanley was owner and operator of Moore’s Wrecker Service in Bogalusa for 20 years and he served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He loved and spoiled his grandchildren.

Stanley is survived by his son, Kevin (Shanda) Moore of Bogalusa; five granddaughters, Alyssa Moore, Kinzley Moore, Shelby Robinson, Christian Walker and Regan Cothern; four sisters, Kathy (Glynn) Wallace of Bogalusa, Diane (Jerry) Lewis of LaPlace, Lora (Nonzie) Williams of Franklinton and Lisa Hobgood of Tennessee; a step-sister, Margaret (Skipper) Creel; two step-brothers, Gerald (Connie) Little and Terry Little, both of Bogalusa; two cousins, Ricky Moore and Phyllis (John) Lee; numerous nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend and employee, Chris Adams.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joe W. and Glenda Moore; and his mother, Marie Thomas Miley; and his grandparents, Jesse and Willie McKenzie Moore, Cullie Thomas and Audrey Sumrall Thomas.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Bro. Caleb Martin and Bro. Jim Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens with military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
