Margie Lynn Beeson, 71, passed away at her residence Sept. 15, 2015.

She was born July 9, 1944, was a long time resident of Bogalusa and attended Ben’s Ford Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Floyd Miley and his wife Shan of Bogalusa; four daughters, Belinda “Little Bit” Newcomb, Minnie Starns and her husband Doc, Susan Miley Magee and Herbert Penton, and Michelle Beeson Scott, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Burnell Seal of Walker, and Madeline Lott Freeman and her husband Randy of Bogalusa; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bessie Lewis Lott; husbands, Alton E. Miley Sr. and Verdie Lee “Jack” Beeson; a son, Alton E. Miley Jr.; a brother, Jimmy Edward Lott; and a sister, Mary Carter.

Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 17, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will resume Friday morning after 8 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Caleb Martin and the Rev. Jimmy Byrd. Interment will follow in the Ben’s Ford Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
